Scholarship Description: Aga Khan Foundation Scholarships The RTP MA is a new one-year master's program designed specifically for international graduates want to start a PhD program in Germany.
-It is taught at the Institute of Social and Political Sciences at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
- The core element of the master's program is an individual curriculum to provide each student with the best preparation for application in the Graduate School or the Research Training Group in Germany.

PhD in Physics in GEMaC lab at University of Versailles


Scholarship Online Applications Common point for all semiconductors is that they are large band gap materials (optical band gap> 2.5eV), with intrinsic and / or extrinsic defects are very local level.
This PhD thesis will comprise the first experimental in the conception and realization of new concept experiment, called "4-coefficient in high magnetic fields." This characterization will provide the possibility (thanks to the special geometry of the electrical contacts) to measure for the same sample four electrical transport coefficients: resistivity, Hall constant, Seebeck coefficient and Nernst coefficient. All Scholarship Online Applications measurements will be made to thin layers and ultra-thin in a high magnetic field (± 9T). It measured four coefficients will allow us to characterize the electronic band structure in the center-Brillouin zone (Fermi energy, effective mass, scattering parameters). Thuthuka Bursary Fund Scholarship Online Applications for Undergraduate


The Scholarship Online Applications project's goal is for each year between 250 and 300 fully bursared black African and colored students at some universities in cohorts of 50 SAICA accredited for the university on special training programs in the undergraduate accounting BCom. Scholarship Online Applications Accredited universities that are part of the program are the University of KwaZulu-Natal, the University of Johannesburg, University of Stellenbosch, University of Pretoria, University of Cape Town, Free State University and the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.

Data Analyst Evaluating Scholarship Online Applications the Health Effects of Social Interventions Programme


We are looking for a Data Analyst to provide analytical data management to the Evaluating the Health Effects of Social Interventions Programme (www.sphsu.mrc.ac.uk/research-programmes/ev) in this unit. The aim of the MRC Social and Public Health Sciences Unit is to promote human health via the study of social and environmental influences on health (www.sphsu.mrc.ac.uk).

You will undertake statistical analyses of complex data sets based on studies of different designs (e.g. longitudinal, cross sectional) and settings (e.g. international, schools. neighbourhoods) and manage complex data sets. You will be working collaboratively with the team leader on a variety of projects using these data sets and writing up research for reports aimed at audience of varying levels of expertise and for academic journals. You will also have the opportunity to present your results at scientific and non-technical meetings to colleagues and peers and support other aspects of research in the team, such as those related to data analysis.

You must have an honours degree in Statistics or related discipline with a high statistical content to apply for this post. A PhD in Medical Statistics, or a quantitative discipline would be desirable. Experience working with epidemiological or social science datasets; experience with longitudinal data and an understanding of the public health significance of health inequalities is also essential. You must also have experience in the use of multivariate analyses including logistic regression and repeated measures and knowledge of major statistical packages - SAS and/or Stata or SPSS.

8 PhD and 4 Postdoc positions are now available in the new Nordic Centre for Research on Marine Ecosystems and Resources under Climate Change (NorMER), with more positions opening next year.

A major challenge to managers and scientists today is to identify ways that oceans can provide food and other services in a sustainable way under changing climatic and socioeconomic conditions. As a changing climate and high harvesting put increased pressure on marine resources, scientists of the future need the cross-disciplinary skills to combine physical, biological, and social/economic science to give appropriate management advice. NorMER (www.normer.org) is a new Nordic Centre of Excellence, with funding from Nordforsk, on behalf of Top-level Research Initiative (TRI), and the participating institutions for 2011-2015, that will address this challenge through a unique program of primary research. 45 researches from 10 Nordic institutions will collaborate in training 15 new PhD students and 5 Postdocs through joint projects that explore the biological, economic, and societal consequences of global climate change on fisheries resources in the Nordic region, with a primary focus on the Atlantic cod. The NorMER partnership includes teams led by Nils Chr. Stenseth at the University of Oslo, Carl Folke of the Stockholm Resilience Centre in Sweden, Erik Bonsdorff at Åbo Adakemi University in Finland, Marko Lindroos at the University of Helsinki in Finland, Markus Meier at the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute in Sweden, Guðrún Marteinsdóttir at Marine Academic Research in Iceland, Eyðfinn Magnussen at the University of Faroe Islands, Helle Siegstad at the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources, Øyvind Fiksen at the University of Bergen in Norway, and Thomas Kiørboe at the Technical University of Denmark.
